Course Description

Nurses spend much of their professional lives caring for others while their own nervous systems

are asked to function under continuous stress, frequent interruptions, emotional intensity, and

long hours. Over time, many nurses discover that even a full night's sleep does not always

restore their energy, focus, or sense of well-being. This workshop introduces participants to

Yoga Nidra, an evidence-informed guided practice often described as "conscious rest," that

supports nervous system regulation and deep relaxation without requiring physical movement,

flexibility, or prior yoga experience.

Greg Sanderson PHD-MD

Greg Sanderson is a professional photographer with more than 45 years of experience behind the camera. His passion for photography began when he received his first camera for his seventh birthday and grew into a lifelong commitment to the craft.

From 1995 to 2001, Greg owned and operated University Studio in Lawrence, Kansas, where he became a master wedding and portrait photographer. During that time, he trained and mentored more than 15 photographers while building one of the area's busy photography businesses. At its peak, University Studio photographed more than 65 weddings annually in both 1999 and 2000.

After years of spending nearly every weekend behind the camera, Greg transitioned from professional photography to entrepreneurship in healthcare. Alongside his wife, Teresa Sanderson, he helped establish Abundant Life Hospice. Together, they grew the company from an initial investment of approximately $3,000 into a $3 million-a-year business.

Greg's career reflects more than four decades of creativity, entrepreneurship, leadership, and a willingness to build something meaningful from the ground up.
